The Remote Surveillance Module, RSM-1500, delivers full-color, motion video in real time. The unit is extremely easy to operate: offering control all of the system features with a touch-tone phone using simple on-screen menus and permiting selection of view from any one of three cameras or automatically sequence through them and offering remote zoom and positive ID snapshot.
Contribution
8x8 donated four of these units to the Hypermedia Studio for the production of "Time&Time Again..." at the Lehmbruck Museum in Germany. Using an additional four units, provided at a discount, live video was fed to the installation over phone lines from remote locations around the region. This method of transmission is a simple and reliable way for incorporating live, remote video into experimental interactive media environments. IMAGES
