The June 2001 stage production of Eugene Ionesco's Macbett was the first at the UCLA Department of Theater to incorporate interactive systems that allowed direct performer control over production lighting and sound. A commercial performer tracking system was combined with a set of custom software tools for data processing, interpretation, and control of automated production equipment.
